It turns from red to green once charging is complete. The batteries click into place and a small light comes on confirming its charging. The only thing that would of been nice is if it came with two batteries since you pull the battery out of the controller to charge so you really need two (one to use while ones on the charger). Not much to say really on this product. It feels solid and quickly charges up to two batteries. The base has some weight to it and it feels like its well built, not super cheap thin plastic.
definately worth the investment I bought this charger as a last resort to save them and it worked perfectly. bought this charge kit due to other info I had gotten about it reviving battery packs. I had two battery packs that would no longer charge with the play-n-charge kit and thought I would have to replace them. Both batteries perform like new and this charger completes a charge much faster than the play-n-charge kits anyway.
After reading a previous review about restoring a bad battery with this charger I decided I had to try this out. Hands down well worth it.I bought a while back the "Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit with Black Controller" and after like 3 months of hardly any use the battery went dead and I had to have the charger plugged directly into it to use the controller. Plus it comes with another battery.Highly recommended if you use the xbox 360 rechargeable batteries.
its so nice and better than to buy battery more like cost over 5dollars or 10 dollars forget it. that quick battery is pretty easy and save money
Dell site had two stations (4 battery packs) for $24 shipped and I missed out on it because I bought this first. Check into it to see if any are on sale before you decide on this. This is so much better than the controller plugin version which would not charge if you didn;t power off the XBOX the way it wanted.I gave this -1 star because the InCharge inductive charging station is soooo much better than this (or any controller charger). Otherwise I would have double-sided taped it to the surface cause that just annoys me. With the battery included I have used my controller for about 10 hrs off and on without a recharge. This has performed well so far. I like how the LEDs on the unit are not blinding and how the unit is sturdy enough so it doesnt move all around when you are putting the batteries on. I have one for the Wii so I know.
